Engineering Manager
Job Description
The basic function of the Engineering Manager is to provide assistance to the Director of Operations for various engineering and job bidding functions. Ensure that all related engineer, job bidding, print reading functions are adequately covered on an ongoing basis. Will implement the policies and assist in the implementation of the directives set forth by the President. This position maintains a complete manual of policies and procedures and keeps it up-to-date with an annual review. This
individual will have the ability to read and interpret prints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Will research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility and cost of systems. Manual draftsman for multi-disciplines including electrical, instrumental, structural, mechanical and plan layouts. Manage projects to ensure there is follow-through from start to finish in order to avoid errors. Will effectively
communicate with customers/vendors in a business and professional manner. Provide accurate drawings to ensure correct data. Responsible for all other duties as assigned or required to complete successful business

Must have the resolve to attain goals and objectives of the company. This individual should have a background and experience in all facets of mechanical and electrical engineering, reading and interpreting blue prints as they apply to the company, shipping and receiving, quality control, training and maintenance manuals, estimating and manufacturing and/or refurbishing of package handling equipment. This knowledge must include the reading and interpreting blue prints, reading and must have
the resolve to attain goals and objectives of the company. This individual should have a background and experience in all facets of mechanical and electrical engineering, reading and interpreting blue prints as they apply to the company, shipping and receiving, quality control, training and maintenance manuals, estimating and manufacturing and/or refurbishing of package handling equipment. This knowledge must include the reading and interpreting blue prints, reading and understanding, research and
analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. This individual should have PDM, Solidworks and AutoCad Experience. This position requires self-starting individual who can concentrate on detail. This position also requires the individual to focus their efforts and that of others on the initiation and implementation of job bidding and drawings in order to establish and maintain
guidelines for standards of performance. It is essential the Engineering Manager possess strong interpersonal skills and strong customer relations skills. Must be able to produce and promote quality work and a safe working environment. Must have excellent communication - telephone and writing skills, computer literate - knowledge of drawing software, spreadsheets and word processing and be able to exercise a great deal of patience in dealing with clients, other company employees, vendors and
outside.
