The Estimator will be responsible for responding to customer requests for quotes by providing timely cost proposals and other data necessary to satisfy the customer in the Manufacturing/Machining industry. Work with other internal personnel to develop the most accurate and complete cost proposal possible. Provide customer support regarding the quote. Must be proficient in performing the following combination of duties: Analyze drawings and estimate labor hours required to manufacture part or conveyor system, determine tool string, materials and hours necessary to build the tools that will be used to manufacture parts, prepare cost summaries for all of the above activities and prepare a clear cost accurate proposal for approval and submission to the customer. Keep a status of all proposals in process until a win, loss or re-quote has been determined. Must be extremely well-organized and able to consistently meet stringent deadlines while working with minimal supervision and sometimes minimal information. Must be able to complete tasks in a dynamic work environment. Must have previous machining and manufacturing estimating experience. Thorough knowledge in manufacturing processes. Macola is our estimating software. Must have ability to read AutoCAD and Solidworks prints along with electrical.
