Manufacturing Manager

The Manufacturing Manager will guide, direct, and lead production teams, planning, scheduling and assisting work to 40 associates. We are searching for candidates with a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment especially with Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly. This Supervisor will develop, train, coach and mentor small teams ensuring company policies and procedures are followed. Past experience planning production, allocating resources, scheduling, managing multiple projects and communicating production goals is needed to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience training associates in safety procedures, standardized work combinations, systems and Lean manufacturing. Experience leading continuous improvement projects and or leading cross functional teams is a plus. The Production Supervisor will keep production records, employee records, hire, fire, perform, disciplinary actions, recommend promotions and transfers. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a must. Strong written vocal communication skills in a team based work environment are a must. They have a well known production line and a reputation for quality. Develops and maintains an extremely high level of operating knowledge of our ERP system. Responsible for the maintenance of detailed schedules to ensure customer shipment dates and equipment specifications are met or exceeded. Employee must improve production methods, equipment performance and the quality of products. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods to eliminate waste and improve efficiency of operations. Understand and apply the principles of Manufacturing and state of the art manufacturing process in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of the operating process with milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, plasmas, lasers, breaks, shears, welding, paint and assembly. Must be able to multi-task, adapt easily to change and be organized and self motivated. Knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks, ExactSoftware Macola a plus.
